Quality
Quality and safety are a fundamental part of our know-how, through our quality, safety and health at work, environment and energy management systems, certified according to the standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001 :2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018.
In 2004 VQ obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification through ICONTEC, which has subsequently been maintained, updated, and expanded. In 2019, with the Colombian Security Council as a certification body, and under standard ISO 9001:2015, VQ INGENIERIA is certified with the following scope:
"Project Management (planning, procurement and supervision) for infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial and energy sectors; including crude oil refining, petro chemical and gas plants. Supervision, quality and technical assurance of engineering projects, including basic and detail engineering. Supervision of health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) activities. Supervision, quality and technical assurance of architectural and engineering designs”.
Environmental
Environmental protection is an integral part of all operations of VQ Ingeniería. We are committed to continual improvement in our Environmental Management Systems to prevent pollution and mitigate any potential environmental impacts.
In 2010, VQ Ingeniería obtained ISO 14001 certification, awarded by ICONTEC. In 2019, with the Colombian Safety Council as a certifying agency under ISO 14001:2015, VQ Ingeniería is certified with the following scope: "Consulting in management, studies, designs and technical supervision in engineering projects"

Safety and Occupational Health
Ensuring health and safety of our clients and VQ`s employees is of paramount importance in our quality policies and fieldwork procedures.
In 2020, we achieved the transition from the OHSAS 18001 standard to the ISO 45001:2018 standard with the following scope: “Management consulting, studies, designs and auditing in engineering projects.”
The services provided by VQ Ingeniería have always been characterized as having high standards in Occupational Health & Safety and environmental protection. We have consistently received outstanding evaluations in this regard from client satisfaction surveys, as well as from national safety audits that assess contractors' performance in the hydrocarbon sector.
As an acknowledgment of our dedication to health and safety management systems, we have been presented with various awards including Outstanding Performance in Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental - RUC system (Colombian Safety Council – years 2009, 2010, 2015 and 2016); Mention of Excellence for VQ`s performance in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (Occidental de Colombia, OXY – years 2003 and 2005); Excellence Award (Occidental de Colombia, OXY – 2005); recognition for VQ`s commitment towards occupational health risks, welfare of employees and commitment of an occupational health culture in the category of "Best Management 2009-2010” (ARL SURA).
In 2022 we were awarded by the Agencia Nacional de Seguridad Vial (ANSV) in its “First national recognition of good practices in road safety”, with 1st place in the “Safe vehicles” category and with 3rd place for our good practices implemented, within the private sector companies that submitted to the call. In 2023, VQ INGENIERÍA received recognition from “Parex Resources” for its commitment and performance in industrial safety during 2022, in the “Administrative Processes” category. In 2023, at the “ARL AXA Colpatria Safe Work Awards”, where the effort and professionalism of companies that maintain good safety and health practices at work were highlighted, VQ INGENIERÍA achieved 3rd place in the Bogotá/Central region in the category: “No Pymes Prevention Management”.
